Whicker: USC clamps down on Washington's Andrew Andrews

Andrew Andrews’ name and game are both repeatable. Size up you man, bully him with your body, and then either keep driving or step back for a 3-pointer.

He has put the whole Pac-12 in an echo chamber this season, averaging 23.5 points in conference games going into Saturday. That’s five points higher than UCLA’s Bryce Alford, the second-place guy.

He also went to the free throw line 11 1/2 times per game. And in his first possession against USC on Saturday, Andrews backed down Julian Jacobs and scored over him just like that.

“You have to play with your chests and your feet against him,” USC coach Andy Enfield said.
