For the second straight home game against an unranked team, USC didn’t deliver.
The Trojans, coming off a bye after an emphatic road win over Arizona State, lost 17-12 to Washington on Thursday at the Coliseum after losing to then-unranked Stanford three weeks ago.
USC struggled to find any rhythm on offense and turned the ball over three times. The conference’s leading offense only gained 346 yards, USC’s lowest total since last year’s loss to UCLA, and didn’t find the end zone until the 12-minute mark of the fourth quarter.
The USC defense allowed 91 rushing yards in the second half to the 11th-ranked rushing attack in the conference.
