The NFL draft brought two surprises Saturday: Utah had more players drafted than USC and Trojans safety Leon McQuay was a surprise pick over several teammates who were not selected.
Otherwise it was a fairly quiet day for USC players on Day 3. Offensive tackle Zach Banner was selected in the fourth round by the Indianapolis Colts; McQuay was taken in the sixth round by the Kansas City Chiefs and defensive tackle Stevie Tu’ikolovatu was selected in the seventh round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“I am just really, really happy,” Banner said. “I really wanted to play for (the Colts).
