USC's young offensive line to be tested against Utah

LOS ANGELES – For USC’s offensive line, Saturday will be “bring your underclassman to work” day.

The Trojans are set to start three sophomores, one freshman and one fourth-year junior against No.3 Utah (6-0, 3-0 Pac-12), which has the best run defense in the Pac-12 and also features the conference’s leader in sacks.

Left tackle Chad Wheeler, who suffered a concussion against Notre Dame, has not been cleared to play, interim coach Clay Helton said Thursday. That makes it all but certain that Zach Banner will shift from right tackle to left tackle, and freshman Chuma Edoga will make his first college start at right tackle.
