INDIANAPOLIS – Tre Madden, linebacker. Max Tuerk, tackle. That’s how it all started, anyway, before the futures of those two USC players twisted and turned, and rarely for the better.
It’s not too late. Madden and Tuerk were among the 300-plus prospects at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine, and various mock drafts indicate both could be selected in the draft’s middle or late rounds.
“It’s a dream come true just being here,” Madden said at the combine. “So I’m just making the most of it.”
Both players are recovering from knee surgeries – Tuerk in October, Madden in December – and didn’t do much at the combine.
