USC's Stevie Tu'ikolovatu likely to play Saturday

LOS ANGELES >> Senior defensive tackle Stevie Tu’ikolovatu remains out with a knee sprain, though a possible return for Saturday’s game at Washington could be aided after he received a platelet-rich plasma injection.

Tu’ikolovatu was in uniform, but did not practice Wednesday. Coach Clay Helton said his movement seemed improved.

“He’s progressing nicely; it looks like he’s showing signs of life,” Helton said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays in this game.”

In the second half of USC’s 45-20 win over Oregon last Saturday, Tu’ikolovatu re-aggravated a previous injury to the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
