Clay Helton signed more five-star players, according to Scout.com, than any other school in the country on signing day, but USC’s odds of winning the College Football Playoff did not improve, according to the betting site Bovada.
The Trojans were listed as 33-1 favorites after the conclusion of the season and that is where they remain after signing 20 new players in the 2016 class.
USC finished the 2015 season with an 8-6 record, including losses to Stanford in the Pac-12 Championship game and Wisconsin in the Holiday Bowl.
