LOS ANGELES – Before the start of every game he pitches, USC’s Kyle Davis draws a cross in the dirt on the back of the mound; the letters C and Z, for twin brothers Cody and Zack, who died at birth; and 637, which is Internet shorthand for “always and forever.”
