USC's JuJu Smith-Schuster makes his presence felt as a receiver and a leader

LOS ANGELES – Entering his sophomore year, USC receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has become more assertive in multiple ways.

He is using his big, strong body to outmuscle defenders for the ball. And he’s becoming the vocal leader – albeit a youthful one – of the receiving corps.

His teammates have noticed. Asked Friday how Smith-Schuster has improved, classmate Adoree’ Jackson said: “All aspects. He’s always had the uncommon effort everybody wants in a receiver. Him just going day after day and being consistent with it, it’s just amazing to see him out there.
