USC's explosive offense is more about quality than quantity in 2015

LOS ANGELES – Steve Sarkisian brought the no-huddle offense to USC, and he established a goal of running at least 80 plays per game.

The Trojans almost hit that mark in 2014, falling just short at 75.7. They aren’t close this season. But the quality of USC’s offensive plays has trumped the quantity.

USC is averaging just 66 plays per game entering Thursday’s contest against Washington. Only the Huskies, at 59.8, average fewer among Pac-12 teams.

But the Trojans lead the conference in total offense with 532.0 yards per game.
