When USC athletic director Pat Haden announced his retirement last month, basketball was listed as one of his successes with the Trojans’ big turnaround this season.
But since Haden’s announcement, USC has lost five of six games and the defense was nearly nonexistent last weekend in losses at Stanford and California.
“It’s ridiculous,” USC point guard Julian Jacobs said. “We need to regroup and win these two home games.”
Jacobs is right because the Trojans (19-10, 8-8) might be in a must-win situation Wednesday night at the Galen Center against surging Oregon State (17-10, 8-8). Why?
