USC WR Deontay Burnett declares for 2018 NFL Draft

After Sam Darnold and Ronald Jones revealed their decisions to go pro last week, USC wide receiver Deontay Burnett joined them in the 2018 NFL Draft pool on Monday afternoon.

Burnett is the sixth Trojan receiver in the last six years to leave early, following Robert Woods, Marqise Lee, Nelson Agholor, George Farmer and JuJu Smith-Schuster. He ranks as the seventh-ranked receiver in the draft class per NFLDraftScout.com, while Walter Football pegs him 17th among wideouts.

A wiry 6-foot, 170-pounder, Burnett projects as a slot receiver and could be a high-volume target in the right offense at the NFL level.
