LOS ANGELES – Jordan Adams remembered the sinking feeling.
The USC women’s basketball team went 12-0 in its nonconference games last year, marking its best start in more than three decades.
Then the season veered off course.
Adams, a versatile forward, was deemed academically ineligible for the rest of the season, along with senior guard Brianna Barrett.
She was left to watch, and often from afar.
“It was so frustrating, man, it was so frustrating,” Adams said after a practice this week, “especially since we got off to a good start.
