USC’s wide receivers intend to make a statement Friday night at Colorado by refusing to wear long-sleeve shirts under their jerseys.
“That’s exciting,” wide receiver Steven Mitchell Jr., said sarcastically. “No exceptions.”
Mitchell said he asked his cousin, Colorado wide receiver Devin Ross, how to prepare for the weather, which should be in the 30s.
“Cold weather, that’s pretty tricky,” Mitchell said. “I’ve only played in the cold mud at Alemany (High School in Mission Hills).”
Mitchell said he was unaware USC even played a Friday night game until he received a text message Sunday night reminding the team it practiced Monday.
