The preseason recognition continues for Trojans wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. This time he’s highlighted for his contributions off the field.
The senior wide receiver was named to the Wuerffel Trophy preseason watch list Thursday afternoon. The award recognizes college football players who best combines exemplary community service with their athletic and academic achievements.
Pittman Jr. has consistently worked in the community with the Trojans outreach program. Through out the spring the senior wide receiver along with a few fellow teammates and head coach Clay Helton was part of a project with Jenesse Center Inc to refurbish an apartment space which is given to families overcoming domestic violence.
