Week 4 is a big one for Clay Helton’s Trojans, as Friday night’s USC vs. Washington State game becomes a must-win for his struggling program after double-digit road losses to Stanford and Texas in back-to-back weeks.
With only 17 offensive points in those two games, USC has to find a way to get a spark on offense. They’ve got to help out true freshman quarterback JT Daniels, and anything better than a negative-yardage rushing outing would be a start.
Defensively, they’ll be looking to stop a vaunted Washington State passing attack led by senior quarterback Gardner Minshew II.
