Thursday night’s USC vs. Washington match up saw Steve Sarkisian’s old team get some revenge on him, as the Huskies took the upper hand in an ugly defensive struggle which ended 17-12.
The lowdown: The Trojans came out flat and never seemed to snap into form, while being desimated by injuries to Max Tuerk and Steven Mitchell, in addition to the previously injured Steven Mitchell. On top of that, senior quarterback Cody Kessler had the worst performance of his career and USC was unable to sustain drives by struggling on third down. The result? Washington consistently won the field possession battle and sucked the life out of the Coliseum.
