LOS ANGELES – Sweat poured off Tre Madden’s face, down his neck and onto his already drenched cardinal practice jersey. The USC senior tailback had just endured his busiest practice in a long time.
With co-starter Justin Davis nursing a hamstring injury, Madden got the majority of the first-team reps during the Trojans’ second practice of training camp Sunday night. Madden looked strong, fast and elusive, showing no signs of the toe injury that kept him out all of last season.
The challenge now is to stay healthy.
