USC star cornerback Adoree Jackson left Saturday night’s game against Arkansas State in the first quarter with an apparent hip injury on a punt return.
Jackson was examined by trainers on the sideline and did not appear seriously injured, but was held out for the rest of the half. He returned the punt nine yards before being tackled. Jackson also returned a punt 31 yards. USC rotated players in the secondary but freshman Iman Marshall entered the game during Jackson’s absence.
Wide receiver Steven Mitchell also suffered a wrist injury in the first half and was examined by trainers.
