LOS ANGELES — USC landed on the right side of the bubble and will be in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament for a second consecutive season.
It will again meet Providence.
The Trojans earned a No. 11 seed, where they will meet the Friars in a play-in-game in Dayton, Ohio, as part of the “First Four.” The winner continues on to the East Region, facing No. 6-seeded SMU in the first round in Tulsa.
Last season, Providence knocked off then eight-seeded USC in the first round of the tournament.
The Trojans finished 24-9 overall this season, their best mark since they went 25-12 in 2007.
