LOS ANGELES – Somewhat mummified, USC receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster made it through practice Tuesday morning, but barely.
Broken, bruised and hobbled, Smith-Schuster has managed to stay on the field, but USC had a scary moment Tuesday when Smith-Schuster dove for a ball and seemed to hurt his previously broken hand.
Smith-Schuster stayed down on his knees in apparent pain for several moments, but after a brief visit with a trainer he returned to drills. He did so, of course, with the hand already wrapped under his glove and with both ankles covered by a copious amount of athletic tape.
