Kyle Hurt is heading to Miami! The former USC Trojans pitcher was selected in the fifth round of last week’s 2020 MLB Draft and he’ll be heading to the Miami Marlins organization.
He became USC’s 341st player to be drafted as he was selected with the 134th overall pick in the fifth round of the coronavirus-shortened MLB draft this summer.
USC has now had a player drafted in every MLB draft since 1965, when, of course, the draft was instituted.
Despite his junior season being cut short, he still posted a 2-1 record and just a 3.
