BOULDER, Colo. – USC entered the locker room at halftime of its game at Colorado on Friday night knowing what it had to do.
The Trojans trailed – again – but had 30 minutes to right the wrongs of the first half.
The message from interim coach Clay Helton was simple and clear: “If 11 men do their jobs and we execute, you’re going to be very happy at the end of the game.”
The players followed their coach’s instructions. The result was a 27-24 victory over the Buffaloes – the Trojans’ fourth consecutive comeback win under Helton.
