A nagging question after USC’s victory over Arkansas State was the offensive line because quarterback Cody Kessler was sacked five times.
Trojans coach Steve Sarkisian and offensive coordinator Clay Helton said Kessler was responsible for two of those sacks. But a more curious reason mentioned is the line’s experience.
“We’re very young,” USC offensive line coach Bob Connelly said during training camp.
But is USC that young? The entire starting offensive line returned and made 62 combined starts last season. Center Max Tuerk, offensive guard Toa Lobendahn and offensive tackle Zach Banner started every game last season.
