LOS ANGELES – USC linebacker Lamar Dawson is set to return to the lineup, and the timing couldn’t be better.
Dawson is expected to make his 2015 debut against Stanford on Saturday after missing the first two games because of broken ribs. Although the results haven’t reflected it thus far, the Cardinal is known for its physical running game. That’s typically where the 6-foot-1, 230-pound Dawson excels.
“Lamar’s a heady player, savvy,” USC coach Steve Sarkisian said Thursday. “He’s played a lot of football in his career; he just hasn’t played for us.
