USC point guard Julian Jacobs was asked if there is a better backcourt than himself and shooting guard Jordan McLaughlin.
“We’ll let you guys decide,” Jacobs said.
Where the duo ranks within the Pacific-12 Conference is debatable, but they both ranked in the top four in assists while averaging at least 12 points per game. They are also a reason USC ranks No. 1 in the conference in 3-point defense, with opponents shooting just 31 percent.
McLaughlin (131) and Jacobs (129) are one of two pairs of guards in the country with at least 125 assists.
