USC goes cold, Galen Center goes dark in loss to Oregon

The lights went out during a power outage at the Galen Center on Saturday afternoon, casting the arena in complete darkness and delaying the USC-Oregon game for 20 minutes.

But it had little effect on the Trojans, who shot like it was dark the entire contest during a 76-66 loss to No. 9-ranked Oregon before 6,834.

“It was so bizarre,” USC guard Julian Jacobs said. “It was weird. I was in the middle of a play defensively and (the lights) completely messed up.”

USC (20-11) shot just 42 percent from the field, 21 percent on 3-point shots and 64 percent on free throws.
