LOS ANGELES – The training camp portion of USC’s preseason preparation ended with a twist:
The defense badly outplayed the offense in an open scrimmage Saturday afternoon.
The Trojans’ defense forced at least three turnovers (no official stats were kept) and numerous three-and-outs. Coach Steve Sarkisian came away impressed with the effort on that side of the ball – and dissatisfied with what he saw on the other side.
“I was disappointed offensively in our execution,” Sarkisian said. “I thought we would be better up front. We’ve been really good the last three days.
