USC played five of its first seven Pacific-12 Conference games on the road, and the Trojans are relieved to be back at the Galen Center on Thursday night against Washington State.
“It feels good to come home,” forward Bennie Boatwright said Wednesday. “It’s definitely tough being on the road.”
Although the Trojans (15-5, 4-3) were swept by the Oregon schools last week, Boatwright is a reason analysts still project USC to make the NCAA Tournament. The 6-foot-10 freshman averages 12.2 points and 5.5 rebounds.
“I can always get better, (but) I’m not surprised (by how I played),” Boatwright said.
