USC football’s quarterback battle hasn’t actually been much of a battle this Spring Camp.
That’s not because one passer has surged far ahead of the pack. In fact, it’s because the opposite has happened. Between incumbent starter JT Daniels, former backup Matt Fink, one-game phenom Jack Sears and early enrollee Kedon Slovis the gap has been almost non-existent.
All four quarterbacks have been introduced to a new system under offensive coordinator Graham Harrell, so much of camp so far has been focused on both learning and perfecting the basics of the Air Raid system.
In that sense, the battle has been muted as well.
