USC football’s presence in the AP Top 25 has resembled a yo-yo in 2019. After falling out ahead of Week 4, the Trojans are back in for Week 5.
Thanks to their 30-23 upset win over then-No. 10 Utah, USC picked up enough votes for the No. 21 ranking in the AP Top 25 and the No. 25 rank in the coaches poll.

They had first been ranked after trouncing Stanford in Week 2 at the Coliseum, but a road loss to BYU in overtime made that a short-lived stay in the rankings.
