Saturday night’s 45-20 comeback victory over Stanford was the finest performance USC football has put in arguably since their last home throttling of the Cardinal back in 2017.
The Trojans played three quarters of mistake-free football, with an offense firing on all cylinders and a defense getting the big stops when they needed them.
Here’s how each unit graded out:
The Trojan defense held Stanford to just 98 yards rushing on 30 attempts, good for 3.3 yards per carry.
Break it down further and it only gets better for the USC defensive front. Cameron Scarlett ripped off a 44-yard run, accounting for more than half of his 82 yards on one play.
