Nine USC football players made their first appearance in cardinal and gold on Saturday against Fresno State, checking off one out of four possible games available before losing their redshirt.
There was always the possibility that quarterback Kedon Slovis would be among those to debut, though the Trojans certainly hoped they might insert him into game action as part of a late clearing of the benches. Instead, an injury to starter JT Daniels saw Slovis play the entire second half.

It is now a near certainty Slovis will not redshirt in 2019, as Daniels tore his ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season.
