It couldn’t all be good news for USC football on Saturday at the All-American Bowl.
The Trojans missed out on the signature of four-star cornerback Chris Steele, and former USC commit, who made his pledge for the Florida Gators in the third quarter of the All-American Bowl in San Antonio. Oregon, Oklahoma and South Carolina were also in the running.
Steele, who committed to USC in July and de-committed in October, ranks 40th nationally in the 247Sports composite, standing No. 5 among cornerbacks and No. 4 in the state of California.
USC’s need at cornerback, and in the secondary in general, is dire.
