Less than a week after losing a 2017 recruit when Amari Rodgers announced his de-commitment, the USC coaches recovered by bringing a new commit into the fold — four-star defensive back Bubba Bolden.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound safety from Bishop Gorman is rated as the sixth best prospect in Nevada and the No. 19 safety in the 2017 class, according to the 247 Sports composite.
He is the first player to commit to the Trojans under Clay Helton as the permanent head coach.
USC had recruited Bishop Gorman quarterback Tate Martell before his commitment to Texas A&M earlier this year.
