Stanford is often viewed as a simple offensive team that wants to bully opposing defenses. But USC safety Chris Hawkins said people misinterpret the Cardinal’s pro-style offense.
“This is a very complex team, with more than 50 formations,” Hawkins said. “They’re not like Oregon with super motions, but they do a lot of things, too.
“They bring different formations in, but we will have a counter for that.”
Hawkins said the Trojans are confident for the rematch because of their rugged schedule.
“We’ve played everybody: Notre Dame, Oregon and UCLA,” he said. “We played each other already and know what we like to do.
