Day 11 of USC Football’s 2017 fall camp was so light, the Trojans practiced without helmets.
Instead, players took to Howard Jones Field in shorts, jerseys and a variety of hats, including visors and bucket hats.
Friday’s short practice was all about Saturday, with a live scrimmage looming.
“Important day for us tomorrow having our second scrimmage,” Helton said. “The majority of it will be live. We’ll try to get 60 plays of live scrimmage work and kind of see where we are as a team.”

With coaches moved off the field for the first time, like they will be for regular games, Helton is excited to see how the players respond to having to figure things out on their own.
