USC football emphasized physicality in Spring Camp by live tackling more often and for longer than past camps. The big question for Fall Camp was simple: Would they keep it up?
On Wednesday, the Trojans were back on Howard Jones Field in full pads and proving that the spring’s physicality would indeed continue into the fall.
Live tackling was the order of the day, with extended 11-on-11 periods designed around competition. All the things the doctor ordered.
“It felt great being back in full pads just being able to really play football again,” safety Isaiah Pola-Mao said after practice.
