While Clay Helton will not rule Rodgers out for the match up with the Cardinal, he took a deep breath when asked about his center’s status and joked that he’ll be saying a couple prayers before game-time.

Rodgers, who suffered a high ankle sprain against UCLA, has been a major part of USCs success up front under Clay Helton. After taking over for Toa Lobendahn against Utah, he has played through a shoulder injury without a noticeable drop off in performance on the line.
