USC Football notched its second Jim Thorpe Award last year winner with Adoree Jackson and now the Trojans are hoping for a repeat with Iman Marshall.
The junior cornerback was one of 45 players selected to the 2017 preseason watch list for the Thorpe Award by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame on Friday.
Marshall came to USC as a five-star recruiting prospect and has delivered on that promise by starting 25 games in two seasons. He was a Freshman All-American first team selection in 2015 while leading the Trojans in interceptions and deflections. As a sophomore he earned an All-Pac-12 honorable mention in 2016 during a strong campaign opposite Jackson.
