USC football has talent but holes to fill in spring practice

USC starts spring practice with the momentum of the Rose Bowl victory over Penn State, but the Trojans are not acting like a team being picked to finish in the top five next season.

“The Rose Bowl is behind us now,” senior safety Chris Hawkins said. “We don’t really talk about winning a national title. This is the time for guys to earn starting roles. There are a lot of guys who need to step up on both sides of the ball.”

Even though USC is talented, when you look at each position, there are positions that remain question marks.
