As USC Football opened Spring Camp on Tuesday, head coach Clay Helton admitted that this Trojan team is lacking star power.
“There may not be a superstar right now on this team and I told our team that,” Helton said. “That’s not a bad thing. By the end of the year let’s hope we have some superstars.”
Helton went on to point out USC’s strength in numbers and improved depth bolstering the team this spring, but the fact remains: the Trojans need to find some superstars, or something close to that level.
That’s not to say the Trojans can’t be successful without a Sam Darnold-level name on the roster.
