USC football officially controls their own destiny in the Pac-12 South.
That was the real result of the Trojans’ 31-20 victory over Colorado on Saturday, but there was much more to glean from the game than just division standings.

Dependable defense
This isn’t new. USC’s defense carried the Trojans on Saturday, shutting down a Colorado offense which came into the matchup ranked among the best in the nation.
They held the Buffaloes to a paltry 3.2 yards per game, giving up 95 yards rushing and just 170 yards through the air.
