USC football: Five Early Signing Day signees who could start as freshmen

The 2019 recruiting class for USC football started filling up officially on Wednesday as Early Signing Day brought with it a flurry of letters of intent signed, sealed and delivered.

In the end, the Trojans announced 18 signees who will be looking to make an impact in Los Angeles as early as possible. But which of those have the chops to work their way into a starting job right off the bat?

Four-star cornerback Max Williams might have been a candidate to start if not for a high school knee injury. Here’s a look at five others who could be in line to start as first year players:

As of Early Signing Day, USC’s highest-ranked signee was four-star offensive tackle Jason Rodriguez and his ranking isn’t just for show.
