Week 2 of USC Football’s fall camp finished up with a telling scrimmage on Saturday at Howard Jones Field.
Though the Trojans still have three weeks to sort through all the questions and concerns raised by 12 practices, the stakes have only gotten higher as crunch time approaches.
So here’s a look at what we learned from the second week of USC’s fall camp:
The Defense is Still Ahead
Every spring and fall camp, the same refrain emerges: The defense is always ahead at first.
It makes sense. The defense simply needs to pick up the concepts of their scheme, then read and react.
