USC doesn’t really care who it plays in the NCAA Tournament but the Trojans were surprised by a first-round matchup with Providence and less-than-thrilled with their No. 8 seed by the selection committee.
“When we saw Oregon State was No. 7, I thought we must be a No. 5 seed,” USC point guard Julian Jacobs said. “We were surprised Oregon State got a higher seeding. We felt Colorado might have gotten robbed a little bit.”
The Buffaloes finished a game ahead of USC and Oregon State in the Pac-12 standings but were a No. 8 seed like the Trojans.
