USC cornerback Isaiah Langley suspended for season opener

USC cornerback Isaiah Langley was suspended for the Trojans’ season opener against Alabama, a school spokesman confirmed Tuesday.

Langley was arrested in early May at a UCLA fraternity party on misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, providing false information and trespassing, according to UCLA police spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein.

Greenstein said he was “intoxicated” and refused to leave when asked.

Langley, a sophomore, appeared in 11 games as a backup cornerback last season. He finished with 12 tackles.

The case was forwarded to the Los Angeles city attorney’s office. Messages were not immediately returned. A spokesman previously told the Los Angeles Times that Langley would enter a diversion program and not face charges.
