USC Basketball’s Sam Clancy to be Inducted in Pac-12 Hall of Honor

Sam Clancy is the latest Trojan to be inducted into the Pac-12 Hall of Honor, which was started in 2002 and recognizes former men’s basketball players and coaches from each school in the Pac-12 who have made contributions to the tradition and heritage of the conference.

The Trojan big man played four years at USC, finishing his career as USC’s blocks leader and third-leading scorer of all-time.

In the 2000-01 season, Clancy led the Trojans to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament, for which he was named to the East Regional All-Tournament team.

After returning for his senior season, Clancy was named the 2002 Pac-12 Player of the Year and earned second team All-American recognition, though USC bowed out in the first round of the tournament.
