Lavar Ball’s Junior Basketball Association hasn’t gotten off the ground just yet, but the Big Baller Brand is taking a swing at some of the nation’s biggest recruits.
Among the 80 players approached by Big Baller Brand, per Tipton Edits, is USC Basketball signee Elijah Weaver.
Weaver is a four-star point guard who has signed a national letter of intent to join the Trojans in the fall of 2018.
He told Tipton Edits that he “does not know” if he’ll consider the offer to play in the JBA.
Ball’s plans for the JBA are lofty, offering players a monthly salary of between $3,000 and $10,000 to feature in a dedicated NBA feeder league instead of going to play college basketball for the minimum one-year requirement.
