The Trojans have started quickly with a 14-3 record, already eclipsing last year’s win total. But being ranked No. 26 in this week’s AP poll is the latest sign that the Andy Enfield era has finally started to see the fruits of its labor, even if they haven’t reached the payout just yet.
The last time the Trojans were represented in the AP poll was the 2008-09 season when they were ranked No. 18 in the preseason, before dropping to No. 19 in Week 2.
Tim Floyd’s team lost to Seton Hall in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off on November 20th and USC hasn’t been ranked since, despite winning the Pac-12 tournament later that season.
